How do the PC names differ when booting Windows 10 compared to Mint?.And with Mint Linux, which IP address does your PC use of which kind and assigned by what and how compared to the network config of the same PC with Windows 10?.In linux it pings fine and I can access the gui with no problem. I'd try pinging from linuxmint since the pc is dual boot. Did you already try the Windows 10 network troubleshooting option on your PC and what did you observe then?.And Windows 10 has also a network troubleshooting option. You need to look and check also the network configuration. It isn't sufficient to look at the PC firewall. Did I understand correctly that DHCP was never configured not activated on any device concerned, neither as client nor as server?.To which web GUI did you refer, to that of which service on the PC or to the management interface of your HP switch?.And when setting the static IP addresses, did you also enable echo protocol on those devices or did you configure it to get deactivated?.And did you set PC and switch to which static IP addresses in which same .x network with which IP addresses and which other devices used which of these same IP addresses at that time or before?.Which device used which APIPA address when wireshark and ping succeeded to connect?.I could ping and use the web gui when the ip was .x now neither are working. So did wireshark confirm that PC and switch were on the same VLAN when you tried ping and wireshark?.What do you mean when writing to set the VLAN1 IP in the switch to which IP address? (I already mentioned that I've more experience with L2 smart managed switches, not that much with administration of 元 managed switches.).To which static IP address of which /24 network did you set the PC on that time and which IP address had the PC before?.I set the pc ip to static /24 as well as the vlan1 ip in the switch within the same subnet. Are these devices connected directly to that switch or to different switches or routers?.How did you try to ping the switch from which device with which IP addresses to the switch with which IP address(es) and what did you observe at the switch with which configuration for the echo protocol?.When writing that the PC is not responding, from which device with which IP address(es) does the ping go to the PC with which IP address(es) and do you see these pings coming in or being blocked by either firewall or network configuration on the PC?.What do you mean when writing that you cannot ping the switch?.
